Madison, WI (PRWEB) March 29, 2012

Good health is important at any age, but staying healthy is especially key in later years. Thats because as people age, their bodies start to wear down, making them more prone to illness and injury, and slowing the bodys ability to heal. Today, WPS Health Insurance, Wisconsins leading not-for-profit health insurer and top provider of Wisconsin Medicare supplement plans, recognizes World Health Daywhich this year spotlights healthy agingwith free resources available at the senior health page on the WPS Health Center.

Growing older is a part of life, and the choices we make today will have a big effect on how healthy we will feel in later years, said Dr. Marvin Wiener, Senior Medical Director at WPS Health Insurance. Even if we feel young at heart, we need to take good care of our bodies and learn positive ways to deal with stress now, so we can delay or even prevent the physical aches, pains, and problems that often come with age.

WPS senior health page offers an array of resources to help Wisconsin seniors stay healthy and learn to manage the special health concerns of older adults. Topics include hearing loss, osteoarthritis, memory loss, sexuality and physical changes, and dozens of others. In addition, helpful interactive tools enable visitors to make better choices about exercise, medications, treatments, tests and more.

Skinny-Me Syndrome is the Dangerous Response of Women to be Skinny Not Healthy. Psychologist Dr. Carol Francis Interviews Josie Tuddell About Anorexia’s Dangers

Skinny-Me Syndrome is the Dangerous Response of Women to be Skinny Not Healthy. Psychologist Dr. Carol Francis Interviews Josie Tuddell About Anorexia’s Dangers

Anorexia, One Dangerous Outcome of the Skinny-Me Syndrome

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 14, 2011

Anorexia is one type of eating disorder that involves women (mostly) refusing to eat food. This eating pattern produces thin women who can not perceive that they are sickly-thin due to the changes in brain-chemistry caused by anorexia malnutrition. Skinny-Me Syndrome needs to be revealed and remedied.

Dr. Carol Francis, Psychologist, has worked with women suffering from eating disorders for over 30 years. She explains, “Women, especially teenagers who are experiencing their puberty and body changes, become confused about their beauty. Perhaps the influence of television, models, teen magazines, and the beauty industry pushes women into thinking that beauty is skinny instead of beauty being health.”

As part of a four part series on eating complications during this holiday season, Dr. Carol Francis will be on radio and video avenues and providing helpful interviews with sufferers, clinicians and recovered individuals. Dr. Carol Francis ho pes, “These people will help listeners/viewers understand that beauty of skin, hair, weight and personality is part of healthy living not starvation.”

Dr. Carol Francis, psychotherapist for 32 years, certified fitness trainer, and certified nutrition counselor, brings unique qualifications to address this issue. Her books and websites provide more clarity about living live with health as the key to living. She can be reached at one of the following connections.

Two books written by Dr. Carol Francis address these issues with more detail, “If You Can’t Stop Eating, Maybe You’re Hungry: Reset Your Cravings” and “Evolving Women’s Consciousness: Dialogues with 21st Century Women.”
