What kind of exercises could be done to help prepare for an impromptu speech?

Question by sweetzndin: What kind of exercises could be done to help prepare for an impromptu speech?
When I have 60 seconds to write a speech on a random subject, my mind goes blank. It’s like trying to move a wall or lift 500 pound weights. It seems an impossible work out. Is there any kind of brain exercise that doesn’t deal with what’s already there (like word searches) or what could be there (like sudoku), but has to do with thinking outside the box that could prepare me for this speech?
